What does it actually look like to love the people sitting in the pews around us? Not a polite, surface-level friendliness, but a deep, genuine, family-level love that costs us something? Romans 12:10-11 gives us a striking picture of what authentic Christian community is supposed to look like, and it challenges us to move well beyond casual acquaintance into something far more transformative. The passage calls us to be devoted to one another in brotherly love, to give preference to one another in honor, and to serve the Lord with diligence and fervency.
